American Micro Industries offers RenShape® CNC machining. RenShape® 450 is internationally recognized as an ideal pattern board for model-making.
RenShape® modeling is known for precise tolerances and superior dimensional stability. RenShape® is also highly heat-resistant while being very responsive to CNC machining techniques.
RenShape® 450 offers 65 Shore D with 4,000 psi flexural strength and 144,000 psi flexural modulus. It offers compressive strength of 2,800 psi and compressive modulus of 135,000 psi, with a Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) of 36 x 10-6 in/in degrees Fahrenheit. The 450 board is a polyurethane board of medium density.
Other RenShape® modeling boards include the 5440 board, which is a low-density board very conducive to fast machining, the 5120 styling board — a very low-density board good for machining lightweight styling models — and the 460 board, a higher-density board for precision modeling with an even lower CTE.
